Travel Agency Commission

The Travel Agency Commission screen allows users to add, edit, and delete travel agent commissions for reservations. The travel agent commission is calculated based on the room rate and the commission percentage set on the travel agent account or on the booking. The commission is calculated after the Z-out process on the day of guest check-out.

Additionally, users can also automate the creation of travel agent commission checks for checked-out reservations associated with a travel agent or tour operator during the night audit. Once generated, the travel agent commission checks will be displayed in the Travel Agency Commission screen. This functionality is also applicable for complimentary and hourly reservations. For complimentary rooms, checks can be viewed only when the Include Zero Commission flag is enabled in the Travel Agency Commission screen. The travel agent commission will be calculated based on the commission percentage or the flat amount entered when creating the travel agent account.

During the night audit, the system will validate and prioritize commission calculation based on the following scenarios:

• If a commission percentage is defined for the travel agent, the percentage will be used for commission calculation even if flat amounts are set.

• If no commission percentage is defined, the flat amount defined for the day will be used for commission calculation.

• If no commission percentage or flat amount for the day is defined, the flat amount defined for the stay will be used for commission calculation.
